Directed by Ernst Lubitsch. Starring Fredric March, Gary Cooper, and Miriam Hopkins. Hopkins plays a painter who meets Cooper’s painter and March’s playwright on a train, and a fascinating love triangle is initiated, one that was fairly risqué for the 1930s. This one just barely slipped into theaters before the rigid enforcement of censorship starting in 1934.
