The Peached Tortilla presents Fat City Pop-Up
Visitors to Yard Bar on August 7 and 8 will get a chance to get the first bite of the fattest stacks in Austin from The Peached Tortilla’s new pop-up concept, Fat City. Arisen from the ashes of COVID-19’s devastating impact on restaurants, Fat City was born from founder/owner Eric Silverstein’s need to adapt to the changing market, cater to the community’s current needs and keep staff employed.
Fat City will launch its first weekend at Yard Bar’s fully open-air space to provide locals with a safe dining experience. Following the launch, Fat City will travel to various Austin neighborhoods in The Peached Tortilla’s iconic food truck to pop-up for service.
With a menu designed to comfort and cheekily inspired by White Castle and Krystal Burger, Fat City elevates nostalgic guilty pleasures to wholesome, scratch-made classics done right. The straightforward, family-friendly menu features hand-dipped Chicken Fingers, and Fat Stacks – classic beef or chicken sliders available individually or in a Sack, which includes three sliders plus crinkle fries or tots.
For dessert, guests can enjoy Fatties - cream-filled sponge cakes available in both chocolate and marshmallow varieties.
The Fat City launch pop-up runs from 12-9 pm each day. In addition to Yard Bar’s regular drink menu of cocktails, beers and wine, Fat City will offer drinks such as Root Beer and Dreamsicle Floats.
