Southern Lights is a winter solstice celebration where guests can shop from 65 vendors at the Frida Friday marketplace, jump in a tube and slide down the SnoRide Snow Hill next to the Tudor Cottage (or just play in the snow on the Great Lawn), get their family’s photo taken with Pax dressed as the Holiday Squirrel Elf, take a free dance class with Dance Waterloo on the basketball court, and enjoy the sounds of the season performed by All Rhythms & Summer Stock Austin.
Guests can also bring a book to give and/or pick up a book from the Austin Bat Cave Book Bus, work on an eco-friendly winter craft with Small Wonders Puppet Theater, and donate needed items for people experiencing homelessness at the Caritas of Austin donation drive
