Link & Pin will host PrintAustin’s 2023 5X5 exhibition, one of the print organization’s annual juried shows. The concept is to have artists judged on all five of the works submitted, with five artists chosen to display work, hence the name 5x5. Artists drawn to submit to this call have at least five pieces of work that can be presented together and stand out enough to be chosen among all the entries.
PrintAustin has added a new dynamic to their 2023 call for artists and had two jurors pulling from identical submissions, creating two exhibitions - one hosted here by Link & Pin and one hosted by Form & Concept, a gallery in Santa Fe for the new festival, Print Santa Fe.
Artists chosen for the 5X5 will receive bonus features, including an extended artist feature by PrintAustin and an opportunity to participate in additional programs such as IGTV, Zoom conference, podcast, or panel discussion related to their work or studio practice.
Featured artists include Myles Calvert, Julia Curran, Mehdi Darvishi, Enrique Figuerdo, and Timothy Pauszek.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until February 11.
