700 of Austin’s most dynamic community leaders will have a lively evening of exquisite local cuisine, live music, and a live auction, all supporting a great cause. This is a night to celebrate the success of Communities In Schools students and raise financial support for critical dropout prevention services.

CIS empowers over 6,300 at-risk students each year to overcome obstacles from homelessness and abuse to absent parents and mental illness – all with the goal of achieving success in school and ultimately in life. For 23 years, Food for Thought has raised the funds necessary to provide these important services to our Central Texas children.
