Central Texans who want lower energy bills, reliable power, and less use of fossil fuels will enjoy the Public Power Block Party. The Texas Sierra Club and their partners will present a campaign launch party to proclaim that the people deserve clean, reliable, affordable energy, and not more polluting, water-sucking fossil fuels.

The party will include food & drinks, music, and family-friendly activities. There will also be an update about the coal-fired Fayette power plant, what’s at stake with Austin Energy’s upcoming resource plan, and clean energy plans in the Pedernales and Bluebonnet electric co-ops.

Visitors can learn how they can inform the process, and get tips for saving money on utility bills.
