St. Andrew’s Episcopal School students are taking their school spirit to the stage in the spring musical, Bring It On. Based loosely on the 2000 film by the same title, the musical follows a high school cheerleading squad as they fight their way through competitions - and tribulations of teenage life - to the National Championships.
Bring It On features an original story by Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights, Hamilton), music by Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next To Normal), and lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity).
Austin’s own State Representative Donna Howard, Councilwoman Ellen Troxclair, and State Representative Paul Workman will serve as guest emcees for each show.
