Love Is Home trades the typical black-tie formality for a relaxed, welcoming evening built around connection and a shared commitment to helping Austin-area neighbors stay safely housed.
Guests can dress up or bring a little Austin edge while enjoying dinner and cocktails, live and silent auctions, a wine pull and raffle, and a full evening of live music featuring Step Onward co-founder Patrice Pike and the Patrice Pike Band.
An Austin Music Hall of Fame inductee and longtime fixture in the city's music scene, Pike co-founded Step Onward more than two decades ago, bringing together her commitment to community and the Austin music culture that has surrounded the organization since its earliest days.
Proceeds benefit Step Onward's homelessness-prevention work with two populations especially vulnerable to housing instability: families facing sudden hardship, including those caring for children with serious or chronic illnesses, and young adults without strong support systems who are pursuing higher education and working toward long-term stability.
