The Sprocket Society is a film series that promotes the love of mechanical cinema and educates audiences on film history and preservation. For these Sunday screenings, they will bring out the 16mm projector to recreate the cliffhanger happy serial, The Adventures of Captain Marvel, in which the young Billy Batson battles the diabolical villain, the Scopion, by transforming in the superhero Captain Marvel by shouting out the magical phrase "SHAZAM!"
Every weekly serial is also followed by a secret classic feature, also on 16mm.
