A Team of Nasty Women is interrupting Inauguration Day to bring you a staged reading of Lauren Gunderson's The Taming, being performed in over 40 cities across the country.

Set at a Miss America pageant, beauty queen Katherine has trapped a liberal activist and a Republican senator in a hotel room to help her rewrite the U.S. Constitution. This raucous, all-female, political comedy inspired by Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew will provide a much-needed outlet for laughter and tears. Not only is this a great way to pre-game for the Women's March on Austin, it's also an opportunity to donate to two great causes. Proceeds will be split between the Southern Poverty Law Center and Planned Parenthood of Central Texas. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
