Texas Cultural Trust and Texas Commission presents 2022 Texas Young Masters

The Texas Cultural Trust and the Texas Commission on the Arts will celebrate the 2022 class of Texas Young Masters.

The Texas Young Masters is a joint program that provides exemplary student artists in 8th -11th grades with grants to pursue advanced study in their artistic discipline, including visual arts, literary arts, music, theater, dance, musical theater, folk arts, media arts and others. These 15 students represent the 11th class of Texas Young Masters and 12 Texas cities. These students will receive the esteemed title of “Texas Young Master” and will be awarded grants of $10,000, disbursed over two years, providing financial support needed to advance their artistic study.

The evening will include special guests including Houston Ballet’s first African American prima ballerina, Lauren Anderson, front man of Asleep of the Wheel, Ray Benson, and Texan singer/songwriter, Peter More.
