eventdetail
Courtesy of Texas Early Music Project

Hear the serene and pious chant from Italy's monasteries, the wild and saucy dances from the ars nova fit for Boccaccio's Decameron, the shimmering and bold madrigals by Ciconia and the progressive and iconic motets by Heinrich Isaac and others during Texas Early Music Project's The Flowering of the Renaissance: Italian Chant to Ciconia. Percussionist Peter Maund, viola da gamba virtuoso Mary Springfels and mezzo soprano Erin Calata will join TEMP's ensemble for a brilliant concert.

Saturday's performance will be held at St Mary's Cathedral and Sunday's performance will take place at First Presbyterian Church.
