Texas Keeper is celebrating the second vintage of their Cortland Demi-Sec cider with a Bastille Day party. Brought to you by local creperie Crepe Crazy, it will include live French-inspired jazz from The Hot Club of Austin and Julie Slim. This year's Demi-Sec is 100 percent Cortland apples, aged eight months on lees to increase complexity, with light citrus blossom on the nose and mellow honeyed apricot on the palate. The ciders are usually on the drier side but this cider, with its floral characteristics, makes for a perfect demi-sec.
