TMBBQ, Texas Monthly’s franchise devoted to all things barbecue, comes to Austin with a special edition of its Fire & Smoke series. Fire & Smoke brings together celebrated restaurant chefs and renowned pitmasters for an unforgettable evening of culinary matchmaking.
The Austin affair will combine the talents of Austin’s finest: Host chefs Jason Stude and David Bull of Boiler Nine Bar + Grill and Pitmaster Miguel Vidal of Valentina’s Tex-Mex BBQ, along with a special guest from Kansas City: Pitmaster Rod Gray of Pellet Envy.
Hosted by Texas Monthly barbecue editor Daniel Vaughn, the evening will begin with an exclusive reception embellished with the latest model Porsche vehicles, hand-crafted El Mayor Tequila cocktails, Meiomi Wines and hors d'oeuvres featuring Victorinox Swiss Army knife demonstrations. Guests will then be treated to a multi-course gourmet dinner - conceptualized and executed by the unique culinary pairing of Stude, Bull, Vidal, and Gray, with the former bringing the “fire” and the latter the “smoke,” featuring locally-raised beef from 44 Farms.
