Austin draglesque star World Famous *BOB* presents AMAGING! Age Is More Than Just A Number ~ It’s A Story, a theatrical storytelling show.
Focused on the stories of elders of the queer community, the performance features a cast of five, all over the age of 60, who share in 10-minute stories their personal experiences that invite the audience to shatter preconceived ideas of aging. The show is an outgrowth of *BOB*’s Campfire Queer Storytime, hosted monthly at The VORTEX, and is sponsored by Rainbow Connections ATX, a program of Family Eldercare, that *BOB* helped “co-queerate”.
Integral to AMAGING! and to *BOB*’s work as an activist is the aim of dismantling through art the de-sexualization of older bodies, especially within the queer community.
