Over 16 years, The VORTEX has actively cultivated butterfly vines, fed the caterpillars, and watched them emerge from their chrysalises as butterflies of many varieties, with more than 40 species of butterflies passing through the Garden. They'll celebrate with a day of art, planting, live music, and renewal of the Earth.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a butterfly plant to add to the butterfly garden, including native plants like Milkweed (for the Monarchs), Shrimp Plant, Verbena, Frogfruit, Gregg’s Mistflower, Yarrow, Zinnia, and Snap Dragon.
