Hong Kong filmmaker John Woo encountered Hollywood meddling in his first American films, and after turning down Face/Off several times, he finally got the go ahead to make things his way and action fans are thankful for that. John Travolta gets to pretend he's Nic Cage and Nic Cage gets to turn up his Nic Cage-ness up to 11. It's a film screening that deserves its own in-theater pyrotechnics.
