The Alamo Drafthouse explores tough women in film during November, so take a trip to a bleak, winter landscape to meet one of the toughest women in all of Minnesota, the pregnant police chief, Marge Gunderson.

Fargo 

is one of the classic, Coen Brothers black comedies, with Marge guiding us through the bleakness of human depravity long before we did the same with Sheriff Ed Tom Bell in No Country for Old Men. At least Marge was able to make an arrest.
