Twist Out Cancer presents Brushes with Cancer
Twist Out Cancer, an international non-profit charitable organization that provides psychosocial support to individuals touched by cancer through creative arts programming, will present a virtual Brushes With Cancer event for those touched by cancer in central Texas. Brushes with Cancer is a unique celebration that pairs accomplished artists with “Inspirations” – people who are previvors, survivors, fighters, and caregivers affected by cancer.
The keynote speaker for the live event is Loriana Hernandez-Aldama, a two-time cancer survivor, the founder of the Armor Up For Life organization, and an Emmy Award winning journalist who formerly anchored at FOX7 in Austin. There will be an intimate conversation with Chaunte Lowe, who is a four-time Olympic high jump competitor, a breast cancer survivor, and a mother of three. The honoree for this year’s program is Valerie Newberg, who has been an essential advocate for Twist Out Cancer in Austin.
