Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum will present the annual Umlauf Prize, an exhibition awarded to outstanding UT Austin MFA students. For the first time in the Prize’s history, juror Suzanne Deal Booth selected two artists for the exhibition. Both Ryan Hawk and Gracelee Lawrence will present site-specific works that engage in a dialogue with Charles Umlauf’s sculptures.

The Umlauf Prize was created in 2004 through the generosity of sculptor Damian Priour.  This exhibition was made possible by Suzanne Deal Booth, Debbie Dupré and the Priour family.

Following the opening reception, the exhibition will be on display through November 8. In addition to the opening reception, there will also be an artists talk with Hawk and Lawrence on Wednesday, November 4 from 6-8 pm.
