Celebrate the launch of The Foundry, a new maker space in the Fine Arts Library open all UT students, faculty and staff. The Foundry is a joint initiative of the University of Texas Libraries and the College of Fine Arts developed to support new students in the Center for Arts and Entertainment Technologies. The Foundry provides access to devices and tools such as a laser cutter, fabric printer, 3D printers, VR headsets, micro-computing controllers, drills, soldering irons, cameras and other video and audio equipment — tools which are normally available only to users in specific programs or areas of study. The Foundry will also feature stations with software to create video games, a video wall and a recording studio.
