​Vitality Exhale Dance Company & Apparel invites the community to enjoy a night of aesthetic beauty and new choreography at Black Book: A Collection of Contemporary Dance Compositions. Director Atticus Rodriguez likes to sample the modern street art scene in his repertoire and does so by incorporating Turntablism as an accompanist to his dance works. Turntablism is a form of art that uses sound manipulation to create music using a turntable and mixer.

Black Book utilizes musical improvisation and highlights the unique interaction between a live performing DJ and the dancers on stage. Vitality Exhale continues to sponsor local dancers, musicians and artists by offering free classes and performance opportunities that support a strong foundation in modern contemporary choreography. This enchanting night of dance will include live DJ sessions and sounds by De’ja’vu. Local choreographers include Atticus Rodriguez and Meghan Bowman. Vitality Exhale sponsored dancers are Makeda Easter and Rachel Saathoff.
