Walk of Heroes Ceremony & Mosaic Unveiling- Honoring Cesar E. Chavez

This honorary event is dedicated to Cesar Chavez's courage, leadership, and contributions to the civil rights movement. 

The celebration will feature a free continental breakfast, inspiring speakers, and a community gardening service learning project. 

Following the 10:00 am breakfast and networking opportunity, attendees should look forward to a profound keynote address by Arturo S. Rodriguez, President of the United Farm Workers of America. The program will also feature Senator Gonzalo Barrientos and Southwest Key Board Members, Elizabeth S. Gonzales and Rosa Santis. Performances by the student choir of East Austin College Prep and the Southwest Key's Latino Arts Preservation  Program's Ballet Folklorico dancers will accompany the event.

The day will culminate in an unveiling of a beautiful mosaic of an image of Cesar E. Chavez as the newest addition to Southwest Key's Walk of Heroes.
