Walking Shadow Shakespeare Project will bring Shakespeare to Pease Park for one night only, presenting an original adaptation of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus.
Coriolano: A Texican Tragedy is the story of a thriving Mexican city as they battle against an invading Texian force. Coriolano, the strongest general, struggles to understand the citizens, and casts them off as lesser than he. This, along with his overbearing mother, creates tension, culminating in a high noon showdown between Coriolano and his nemesis, Aufidius.
With bilingual actors, the show celebrates the diverse cultures that made (and make) Texas the beautiful cultural landscape that it was, and continues to be.
