Wally Workman Gallery presents "The Way Back," a new solo show by painter Sylvia Benitez.
For nearly 20 years, Benitez has been captivated by the shifting moods of the Central and South Texas landscape. Preserving this land's mercurial character drives her work. Rather than realistic renderings, she creates imagined, archetypal landscapes that feel instantly recognizable - working from memory, letting the land's visual poetry guide her dialogue with the canvas.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through October 4.
