Wheatsville Food Co-op will kick-off National Co-op Month at its second annual Big Co-op Fair. Now in its 42 year, Wheatsville is a full service, natural foods cooperative grocery store that offers organic, sustainable food options, pays its employees living wages and stocks more than 2,000 local items on its shelves.
The family-friendly, free event includes music by the Ann Richards School marching band and a live DJ set by KOOP radio; food samples from more than 25 local vendors, carnival rides, rock climbing wall, face painting, and behind-the-scenes tours of the store.
