Whisler’s is teaming up with Fernet-Branca liqueur to host the 10th annual Barback Games, a series of gladiator-style bar challenges. The event is the first time Fernet-Branca has brought its Barback Games to Austin, and will feature barback competitors from throughout Texas - many of whom will be clad in absurd and comical costumes, and rallied on by posses of their fellow bar workers and service-industry employees - with the grand-prize winner securing a spot to represent Texas in the Barback Finals at the end of the year.
