Austin's Buddhist community is gathering to celebrate Buddha’s birthday at this event, which will include a brief Buddhist service with chanting, offerings, and the ceremonial bathing of the Buddha. Guests will be invited to participate in bathing the Buddha, a symbolic gesture of the purification of the body, mind, and speech.

The service will be followed by a number of cultural performances including the Chinese dragon dance. Each temple will have a booth set up with fun activities like face painting, calligraphy, and paper cutting.
