In celebration of Black History Month and as a tie into the themes of The Great Society, ZACH Theatre is hosting a free screening of the Oscar-nominated documentary 13th. Following the screening will be a community conversation moderated by Matrex Kilgore (Creative Action), Dr. Billy F. Harden (Spectrum Theatre Company), Florinda Bryant (Salvage Vanguard) and The Great Society cast member Vincent Hooper. Chucky Black will share his slam poetry before the screening.

The documentary touches on chattel slavery; D. W. Griffith's film The Birth of a Nation; Emmett Till; the civil rights movement; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Richard M.
