As if you needed more reasons to get ridiculously excited for the upcoming Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival — which takes over 12 venues in Austin from April 25-28 — today's announcement of additions Andy Kindler, John Mulaney and W. Kamau Bell should do the trick. Also added: Tom Rhodes (star of NBC's Mr. Rhodes), Holly Lorka (2011 Funniest Person in Austin finalist) and Jonathan Pace.

Andy Kindler's known for his acerbic wit and his epic annual "State of the Industry" address, delivered at Montreal's Just for Laughs fest. He was also a regular on iconic cartoon Dr. Katz; here's a clip from special live show "An Evening with Dr. Katz":

If you haven't seen SNL writer John Mulaney's stand-up, you probably know him as the man behind Bill Hader's Stefon. His latest special, "New In Town," premiered last month on Comedy Central (I tried to find a clip of the opening montage / theme song, but you're gonna have to trust me that it's worth investing in the DVD for). His bit "The Best Meal I've Ever Had" is so good you should stop whatever you're doing and listen, right now:

W. Kamau Bell is a writer and comic who's not afraid to get a little political; a contributor to publications like the San Francisco Weekly, he also performs solo shows at theater fests around the country. Here he is on Muslims, the Tea Party...and milkshakes:

The festival already features SNL head writer Seth Meyers, Academy Award-winner Stephen Wright, Parks and Rec's Aziz Ansari, 24's Mary Lynn Rajskub, Maria Bamford, Hannibal Buress, Joe Mande, Nikki Glaser and many more (including over a dozen locals, like Matt Bearden, Mike MacRae, Chris Cubas, Ramin Nazer, Kath Barbadoro, Danny Palumbo and John Tole). The fest is still adding names to the lineup, which will feature 60+ performers.

Festival badges are still available; prices range from $129 for standard passes to $799 for VIP badges. Both can be purchased online at, in person at the Paramount Theatre box office or by calling 512-474-1221. Single tickets are scheduled to go on sale Feb. 23.
