Austin's Cinematic Symphony captures the magic of movies and music
Editor's note: CultureMap is proud to present the latest installment in our partnership with KLRU's documentary series Arts in Context. This unique series celebrates stories about the arts in Austin and the people who make this such a vibrant and creative city.
For over 11 years, Cinematic Symphony has shared its love for the music of film, television, and video games with the Austin community. With two concerts per year, this ensemble comprising local musicians is dedicated to promoting musical education in the form of entertainment. Visual displays and popular music of our time provide an enriching opportunity and introduction to classical music.
On Saturday, May 14, see the magic firsthand at Danny Elfmania. This free concert comes complete with large-screen visuals, trivia, and prizes. You can also visit the Cinematic Symphony website for other upcoming events.
KLRU-TV, Austin PBS is dedicated to telling stories that entertain, inspire, and change our lives.
