According to surreptitious dating site SeekingArrangement.com, the Sugar Daddy demographics have shifted in recent years from often-married 44-year-olds to unmarried men in their late 30s.
The stats points to Atlanta — where there are 5.98 Sugar Daddies for every 1,000 male residents — as the Sugar Daddy Capital of the United States.
"Not only is the face of the modern Sugar Daddy changing, but his needs are as well," Brandon Wade, founder and CEO of SeekingArrangement.com, said in a statement. "Men who gain their wealth at a young age understand that time can't be wasted chasing fruitless leads."
Where a Sugar Daddy's average annual income was more than $320,000 when the site first launched in 2007, his salary now rings in at $273,301 per year. Proportionately, Sugar Babies are receiving less allowance: Down from an average of $74,772 to $61,200 — still not a sum to sneer at.
The stats points to Atlanta — where there are 5.98 Sugar Daddies for every 1,000 male residents — as the Sugar Daddy Capital of the United States. Scottsdale, Ariz. ranks as the No. 2 spot for a damsel in distress to land a man, followed by San Francisco, Tampa and Boston.
Austin ranked No. 10 on the list (there, you'll find 3.13 Sugar Daddies for every 1,000 adult men in the city) and Houston took No. 18 (the ratio is closer to 1.85 in 1,000 here), but Dallas is the place to go for those who want spoiling: It's No. 8 on the list for indulgent 'Daddies, who spend $4,721 on their partners each month.
