Hillary in Austin
Potential presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is heading to Austin
Maybe it's the tacos, but for whatever reason, the Clintons have certainly been making the Austin rounds lately. In March, daughter Chelsea gave a SXSW keynote address, and now her mother, former Secretary of State (and presidential hopeful?) Hillary Clinton will be giving an address at the Long Center on June 20 at 7 pm.
The former New York senator will talk about her career in public service, including her eight years in the Senate and as First Lady. During a speech entitled, "Hard Choices," Clinton will discuss the "crises, challenges and choices she faced during her four years as America's 67th Secretary of State."
Among the subjects Clinton will be tackling are the sanctions imposed on Iran during her tenure, the reassertion of the United States as a Pacific power, as well as the Arab Awakening. Noticeably absent from the list of topics? Bengazi and a potential presidential run in 2016, though there's no word yet on whether she'll broach those topics.
Tickets will be open to the general public, though pricing information will not be available until Thursday. Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 16 at 10 am.
