The Paw-za Hotel
Austin suburb fetches first Central Texas location of luxury pet hotel
In a city where people bring their pets everywhere, even the grocery store (seriously, stop doing that), it's only natural that Austinites would want a special place to send furry family members. Pet Paradise, a Florida-based boarding, training, and daycare facility, is promising just that when its 20,000-square-foot facility opens in Georgetown in summer 2020.
For its first location in Austin, housed at 716 S. I-35, the chain offers bougie amenities that have made it a popular pet destination with 35 locations across the U.S. Among the features:
- 175 climate-controlled indoor and outdoor suites
- VIP suites
- a "Cattery" for felines
- a "Tiny Town" for dogs under 30 pounds
- 3,000 square feet of indoor play yards
- a building dedicated to dogs attending day camp
- indoor and outdoor splash pads
- shade structures
- dedicated grooming area
Along with paw-some attractions, Pet Paradise also has on-site, live-in team members, a bone-shaped pool (naturally), and auto-fill water bowls to combat the brutal Central Texas heat.
āOur new resort in Georgetown utilizes our latest model with design enhancements and amenities directly related to customer and employee feedback,ā said Fernando Acosta-Rua, CEO of Pet Paradise, in a release. āWe are excited to bring our unique approach to pet care to the Austin community.ā
In addition to the resort-style features and grooming capabilities, Pet Paradise also offers veterinary services seven days a week. Wellness exams, treatment and procedures, and imaging is performed in dedicated vet rooms on the Pet Paradise property.
āPets are members of our families,ā said Acosta-Rua. āPet Paradise is committed to offering the highest quality services to our pet guests and their owners, under one roof.ā
Pricing isn't yet available for the Central Texas location, but Pet Paradise in Las Colinas offers rates beginning at $48 for the first dog/$26 for the second for luxury suites and $46 for the first dog/$26 for the second for non-luxury suites. Pricing for cats in the kitty condo is $28 for one cat and 20 percent off for the second.
The Georgetown location is the company's seventh in Texas. Currently, Pet Paradise operates four in Houston, one in Plano, and one in Las Colinas.
