3. Missing Austin-area woman Brenna Swindell found safe.The daughter of a former University of Texas baseball player has been found safe after she was reported missing August 22.

4. Harry Potter Forbidden Forest event reveals Austin dates this fall. An event called Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience will transform McKinney Roughs Nature Park into a mysterious wizarding wonderland starting November 9.

5. Famous Kardashian shapewear brand makes Austin pop-up permanent. Kim Kardashian's Skims line made a surprise debut in Austin in November 2023. According to an August 28 news release, a permanent store has opened next to Apple.
