Altered State Police
What's so funny meow? Broken Lizard comes to the Drafthouse for one night only
If you ever were a college student at any point during the past decade, it’s very likely that somewhere between the late night study sessions and the late night party sessions you were introduced to the stupefied world of Broken Lizard Industries.
Cult comedy classics such as Super Troopers to Beerfest have served as guides on how to treat life as one big rager and cemented this comedy troupe’s legacy in frat houses and dorms; now the Alamo Drafthouse will provide fans the chance to see two of the minds and faces of the Broken Lizard team, as Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme perform live for one night at the Drafthouse Ritz December 1.
Fans should remember Lemme as the prank-loving Mac of Super Trooper, while Heffernan portrayed the memorable (and unhinged) Trooper Farva. No word yet on whether the Drafthouse will offer each ticket holder a complimentary “litre of cola.”
And maybe — just for this one night — you might not want to view this show in the same altered state you assumed the first time you and your dormmates watched these cinematic gems.
