Here are all the Hollywood celebrities we've spotted in Austin so far for SXSW
The stars were out in Austin this weekend! From red carpets to parties to simply enjoying the scene, celebrities were spotted all over the city.
Before his panel with Audible on Friday, March 10, Daveed Diggs grabbed a bite to eat at Burger Bar on Congress Avenue. That afternoon, he joined Sara Bareilles to chat about Audible’s first-ever music competition series Breakthrough, developed and launched exclusively as a podcast. Later this week, he will be at the premiere of Blindspotting season 2, happening at the Paramount on Friday, March 17.
The film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves officially opened the festival with cast members Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Regé-Jean Page all in attendance.
Meanwhile, Variety hosted a Power of Comedy event at Creek and the Cave with performances from Eric Andre, Chelsea Handler, Bob Odenkirk and more. Guests included Anna Kendrick, Jake Johnson, and Katie Couric.
On Saturday, March 11, native Austinite Gabriel Luna was at the HBO Max Coffeehouse at The Stay Put on Rainey Street for a chat about the HBO Max smash hit The Last Of Us.
Roxstar Entertainment's Cinema Center at Higbee's was the place to be for film afterparties. Karen Gillan stopped by, following her Late Bloomers premiere. Lukas Gage and Zachary Quinto were also there, following the Down Low screening. Post-party, Quinto headed to the East side with friend to hang at White Horse. Other celebs in attendance included Anthony Mackie, Leon Bridges, and Austinite Geoff Stults.
The Parachute after party went down at Higher Ground with first time director Brittany Snow. Yellowjackets cast members Courtney Eaton and Thomas Mann were also there, as were Robert Schwartzman and Matt Walsh.
As previously mentioned, Elizabeth Olsen returned to SXSW for a screening of the Austin shot HBO Max series Love and Death. She didn't have time to enjoy the ATX on this trip, though. She was on a plane later that day to head to Los Angeles to present at the Oscars on Sunday evening.
