SXSW Open for Business
SXSW's cheapest badges of the year are available now
On Monday, SXSW announced that it is officially open for 2015 business. Registration for the 2015 music, film and tech conference, taking place March 13-22, is now open.
Those looking to take part in official events are advised to act fast and register for their badges now. Badges are at their lowest prices through September 12; they range from $525 for a Film Badge to $1,345 for the Platinum Badge.
You don't have to purchase a badge blindly, as the first round of featured speakers for SXSW's ever-popular Interactive conference have already been announced. Guest speakers include Franz von Holzhausen of Tesla, Phil Libin of Evernote, and Genevieve Bell of Intel.
While official programming is already in the works, there are still chances to get involved in the event. Submissions for SXSW Music and SXSW Film are still being accepted. In addition, video game projects can be submitted for the Gaming Awards and startup business ideas can be submitted to the 2015 SXSW Accelerator Awards.
Out-of-towners can also start cementing travel plans SXSW's online guide and booking service for hotels. We all know that securing a hotel room early is almost as important as buying a badge — downtown rooms will get snatched up in the blink of an eye.
