This solidifies University of Texas as one of the world's best schools
Once again the University of Texas at Austin lands on a list of the world's best schools. This time, it's U.S. News & World Report's best global universities rankings, and UT places at No. 30.
The global rankings include the top 1,000 schools in 65 countries. Schools were ranked based on 12 indicators chosen to measure global research performance, including research reputation, publications, books, conferences, and more. UT receives a global score of 78.1.
This isn't the first worldwide accolade for the university this year. In July, UT was named the No. 32 best university in the world by the Center for World University Rankings. That study focused more heavily on quality of education and faculty, as well as alumni employment.
The new U.S. News ranking also drills down to the best public universities in the nation, for which UT ranks No. 10. Even better? A recent report from Niche names UT the fourth best public school in America.
