Get ready, 78704: The LAAN is bringing a brand-new level of luxury to the neighborhood. The two- and three-bedroom residences by Urbanspace Real Estate + Interiors combine a Dutch modern architectural style ("laan" translates to "lane") with a distinctly South Austin aesthetic, plus some seriously enjoyable perks.
The 53 condos sit on a three-acre site just off South Lamar, at 3100 Manchaca Rd., that's been divided into three phases. Phase 1 is nearly sold out, but there's still time for you to snag a home in the remaining two. Prices begin in the low $500,000 range and go upwards of $700,000, and each unit features the clean design and elegant touches of the development.
Take, for example, the optimally designed open floorplans by project architects Davies Collaborative. There are nine from which to choose, each with clean lines that maximize natural light.
Four interior finish palettes were also crafted especially for this project. Lead designer Merrill Alley, of Urbanspace Interiors, says that there's a style to appeal to everyone, "a range of aesthetics from industrial to more chic and modern. Each palette has an element of surprise."
The community itself is anchored by a sprawling Southern live oak tree that's adorned with soft lighting. Outdoor amenities include a modern pool with a sun lounge and adjacent dog run, as well as lush rain gardens featuring native plants. Lounging and entertaining space is ample, though the homes do come with the choice of private balconies, patios, and yards for more secluded outdoor access.
With construction well under way, it would be wise to take into consideration the LAAN's quick-selling history and pounce on these homes before it's too late. Open houses are held onsite every Sunday from 1-3 pm. Visit here for more info and to request a tour.
