This Austin suburb has the 4th most moved-to U.S. ZIP code of 2025

More people are moving to Leander's 78641 ZIP code than most other U.S. cities.
Austin has already proved it's one of the hottest destinations for Americans on the move, but a new study has revealed one neighboring city, Leander, has attracted the fourth-highest number of new residents of any studied U.S. city in 2025.
Leander's 78641 ZIP code ranked No. 4 on MovingPlace's new list of the 10 most popular U.S. ZIP codes for movers in 2025.
The report analyzed more than 6.38 million moves that occurred between January and May 2025, and ranked the U.S. cities that had the most moves by ZIP code.
During the first five months of the year, Leander's 78641 ZIP had 3,349 inbound moves, the fourth-highest number of moves out of all ZIP codes in the nation.
The report says the booming suburb is a suitable place for families and young professionals based on its quiet lifestyle and its proximity to Austin for commuters.
"This fast-growing suburb is sought after for its excellent school system, planned communities, and outdoor recreational opportunities," the report said. "Leander offers residents the chance to enjoy the vibrant Austin tech scene while living in a quieter, more affordable area with plenty of new housing developments."
Earlier this year, Leander shined on U.S. News and World Report's 2025 list of the best places to live in the nation.
