Ms P's New Plan
Ms P's Electric Cock plans to go brick-and-mortar with sale of $149K vintage trailer
Arguably one of the best food trailers in town, Ms P's Electric Cock has been satisfying Austin's hunger for fried chicken since 2010. Now, Ms P plans to go brick-and-mortar, but she needs to sell her trailer first.
On Thursday, Ms P's Electric Cock posted an ad on Craigslist to sell its vintage food trailer for a price that should definitely help those brick-and-mortar dreams come true. For a cool $149,000 you can purchase the chicken joint's second trailer, which was recently housed at The Picnic on Barton Springs Road. The flagship South Congress trailer is not for sale.
The 1947 Spartan Manor is tricked out with "modern conveniences while maintaining the iconic look." In addition to cool vintage vibes, the trailer features fryers (of course), refrigeration units, a cooler, grill top and burners. Unfortunately, signage and branding do not convey.
If the price tag seems steep, Ms P's has a tip for subsidizing its cost. "We rent it out to production companies as an extra source of income," the post states. No details on the brick-and-mortar store have been released, but a media alert notes that the South Congress trailer will stay in business.
