Yappy Hour
Pups and pints mix at these 10 dog-friendly Austin bars
What's more Austin than sipping a craft brew while sitting on a patio with a pooch by your side? That would be grabbing a beer with your pup for a good cause. For the entire month of October, when you order a pint of Samuel Adams from any of these dog-friendly Central Texas watering holes, 25 cents will be donated to Austin Pets Alive!
Want more to celebrate? On Saturday, October 20, from 3-10 pm, head to Rock Rose at Domain Northside for Samuel Adams Rocktoberfest. In honor of the most wonderful time of year, enjoy live music (from acts like Ryan Holley, Chandler and The Bings, and More Cowbell), traditional German food like bratwurst and shepherd's pie, and, of course, plenty of beer.
The best part? Admission to the event is free (for both you and your leashed furry friend), but Samuel Adams will be collecting donations to Austin Pets Alive!
Ready to drink for a cause this month (and just drink for fun the rest of the year)? Grab a leash and pull up a chair at these pup-friendly Austin bars.
Culinary Dropout

Jack & Gingers
Austin meets Ireland at this Rock Rose pub that features craft beers, whiskey towers (yes, please), and one of the best spots in town to catch British Premier League action. The expansive patio is dog-friendly.

Little Woodrow's
The ideal sports-watching headquarters for both your crew and your four-legged friends, Little Woodrow's (with locations from Austin's West Sixth Street to Burnet Road) features not only dozens of beers on tap but dozens of HDTVs for live events and games.
The Local Post
A patio, community tables, and an entire game room make this one of Burnet Road's best spots for hanging out with — or making — friends. Plus, Steelers fans, heads up: This is Austin's go-to spot for cheering on your team.
The Park
A bustling sports bar with locations on South Lamar and at the Domain, this locally founded Austin institution has 40 (!) strategically placed TVs for optimum viewing, plus artisan cocktails, a scratch-made menu with everything from burgers to salads, and plenty of craft taps.
Railhouse
Find yourself down south? Kyle's new venue and bar Railhouse has it all, from indoor and outdoor stages for live music to car shows to sand volleyball courts. There's also a coffee shop and five bars, each featuring a Monday-Friday happy hour.
Sunset Grill & Bar
This friendly and charming North Austin watering hole features pool, darts, a menu that spans burgers to bulgogi, and a wide range of beers on tap.
Third Base
A laid-back, neighborhood spot perfect for watching football this fall, all of Third Base's locations (which include Northwest Austin, Round Rock, and Southpark Meadows) feature relaxing patios and tasty bar fare, plus food specials like Taco Tuesdays and Burger Fridays. Not wanting Fido to feel left out, there's also a Yappy Hour on Mondays at 4 pm, featuring free dog treats.
Yard Bar
Perhaps the ultimate dog bar, Yard Bar is an off-leash dog park featuring a full bar, plus agility equipment and "bark rangers," staff who keep everything running smoothly between the pups — so you can focus on sipping your beer.
