Food is … discovery! Take a walk through Austin's Farmers Markets — you're bound to find something new.
Sustainable Food Center operates four of the largest Farmers' Markets [http: /www.sfcfarmersmarket.org/] in the state of Texas, right here in Austin. With roots dating back 40 years, SFC is all about cultivating a healthy community by strengthening our local food system and improving access to nutritious, affordable food in Austin. The SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown is open on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm in Republic Square. At Sunset Valley, the SFC Farmers’ Market also operates on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm at the Toney Burger Center. On the East Side, the SFC Farmers’ Market East can be found on Tuesdays from 3pm to 7 pm at the corner of Miriam and MLK, in front of the new SFC building [http://www.sustainablefoodcenter.org/capital-campaign/our-new-home]. And The Triangle is home to the SFC Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays from 3pm to 7 pm. Take a walk with us through a photo essay to discover Austin's SFC Farmers’ Markets. And sign up to join the SFC Farmers' Market newsletter [http://www.sfcfarmersmarket.org/get-our-newsletter]! In addition to fresh, seasonal, locally grown fruits and vegetables and pastured meats and dairy products, at SFC Farmers’ Markets you’ll also find handmade, small-batch food products. Think preserves, tamales, kombucha, candies, pastries, breads, Texas olive oil and much more!
