Missing Dog
Search continues for Austin food influencer's stolen dog Noodles

Thousands of Austinites have become invested in the search for Noodles.
Update: Noodles has been found, according to a post by his owner, Taylor Hannan.

Eight years ago, food blogger Taylor Hannan (@austineater) became acquainted with his black terrier mix, Noodles, after discovering him on Craigslist. Ever since, they have been roommates and the best of buddies.
"He goes with me everywhere, he's just a good friend," Hannan said.
On Friday morning, Hannan was packing to go on a road trip with Noodles. He brought his dog to the backseat and went back to get Noodles' food and bed.
When Hannan went back, he discovered something troubling.
"Someone was getting into my car and drove off," Hannan said.
Hannan was driving a 2020 Red Honda Civic. During the mid-afternoon on Saturday, one of Hannan's followers found his car 20 miles east on SH 71.
"Everything that was electronic they yanked out, or broke, or smashed," Hannan said.
Now, Hannan is throwing his energy into finding Noodles, holding a search party Sunday morning that started around St. Elmo Elementary with volunteers looking all over South and East Austin.
Now that days have passed without Noodles by his side, Hannan is feeling incomplete without his best friend.
"He's indifferent about a lot of people and he likes a handful of people," Hannan said. "And he really enjoys being around me, so I feel pretty bad he's not around me."
When pets are separated from their owners, April Peiffer with the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter says there are tools owners can use like Petco Love Lost, which uses image matching technology.
"Then if somebody five miles down the road, 50 miles down the road, 500 miles down the road comes upon your animal and uploads a photo of that found pet, your found pet," Peiffer said.
