The lowdown: On March 12, some of the world's most beloved supermodels descended on Austin for a very special I Am Waters Foundation luncheon. Models such as Kelly Emberg, Ruby Stewart, Jerry Hall, Julie Anderson, Kim Charlton and Cheryl Tiegs took part in the event, which also included a speech from the afternoon's honoree Charmaine McGill.
Started by Elena Davis, I Am Waters Foundation is a Houston-based nonprofit that provides fresh, clean water to the homeless community. Throughout its six years, the foundation has provided 2.1 million bottles of water to men, women and children suffering from homelessness and has partnered with local organizations including ARCH/Front Steps, Mobile Loaves and Fishes and the Salvation Army.
The inaugural event, which kicked off the night before with an exclusive party held at the home of David Garza and Dr. John Hogg, raised more than $300,000 for the charitable organization. I Am Waters Foundation will host a Supermodel Luncheon on April 30 at River Oaks Country Club in Houston.
