Citizen Generation rallies at new Rainey Street hot spot for Mixers on the Map
Even a little bit of rain couldn't keep Austin's young, active, philanthropic crowd from rallying at CultureMap's most recent Mixers on the Map event.
On Tuesday evening, members of Citizen Generation mixed and mingled with CultureMap Insiders at Rainey Street's new beer-and-sausage house, Banger's, while sampling bites and sipping on local brews.
The event, part of a new monthly series hosted by CultureMap, aimed to give potential new members of Citizen Generation a chance to learn more about the organization's mission in a fun, new, casual environment.
Citizen Generation staff and volunteers were on hand to shed light on what makes it such a unique part of Austin's philanthropic landscape as well as to take donations for the organization's programs: CharityBash, CharityLadies and CharityVolunteers. Of course, CultureMap was there to make sure the food and drink — including a special selection from Hops & Grains — kept the party going.
There are many fun ways to join in on the charitable giving via Citizen Generation, including an upcoming CharityBash event on September 13 at Pelons, which will benefit Eastside Community Connection.
