Austin sophisticates enjoy top restaurant treats and fine art at Russell Collection gallery
Art lovers, foodies, scenemakers and assorted fun-makers noshed on goodies prepared by some of Austin's top chefs, inspired by some of the world's best artists, at the Art Bites event to benefit Austin Food and Wine Alliance Thursday night.
Event hosts Russell Collection Fine Art, CultureMap Austin and Cadillac paired chefs from Uchi, Trio, The Carillon, Finn & Porter, Goodall's Kitchen & Bar at Hotel Ella, Mettle, Swift's Attic, Hyde Park Bar & Grill, Clark's Oyster Bar and Plate by Dzintra with a painting each, which they used to inspire the treats they served, stationed near their inspirational artwork, at the Russell gallery.
Guests at the sold-out event included McKinzey Crossland, Liz Warfield, Megan Moore, Lauren Zitz, Michael Coleman, Jessica Fradono, Shaady Ghadessy, Sharon Davallu, Jessica Del Rio, Amanda Malmgren, Matt Bacon, Naomi West, Cory Higgins, Christina Rupp, Donna Lagow, Emily Fuller, Bill Bellomy, Mairin Heard, Victor Wang, Bob Wuest, Cindy Samok, Marianne Dwight, Ed Cisler, Jerry Windisch, Amy Cox, Donna Clay, Michelle Martinez, Dana Meyer, Rachel Rountree and Cory Rountree.
St. Helena Winery and Tequila 512 provided drinks, and New York’sDJ Gatsby provided the musical accompaniment. Raffles of giveaways donated by Kendra Scott and passes to the Austin City Limits Festival's second weekend capped an evening that held a wealth of lovely food, art and people.
