Austin lands new daily nonstop flight to hot California destination
A new nonstop flight is taking off from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Alaska Airlines will launch daily nonstop service from Austin to San Jose, California, this summer.
The new year-round route will depart Austin at 3 pm, arriving at Mineta San Jose International Airport at 4:50 pm. Flights from San Jose will depart at 8:45 am and arrive in Austin at 2 pm.
Service starts August 28, 2017, and tickets for the San Jose route are available now. A sampling of fares reveals prices as low as $160 each way.
This is one of Alaska Airlines' 13 new nonstop routes from the Bay Area. The airline acquired Virgin America three months ago and is aggressively growing its West Coast footprint. Alaska Airlines operates two other nonstop flights from Austin: Seattle and Portland, Oregon.
