Jimmy Kimmel Live! is coming back to Austin, ABC announced on Wednesday. The late night talk show, famous for its stunts and viral videos, will film five shows at the Long Center for the Performing Arts during SXSW. Though the lineup has yet to be announced, Kimmel and company will film Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20.
On returning to Texas, Jimmy Kimmel said, "We had so much fun in Austin last year, we’re doing it again. This time we might never come back." Last year's uber-successful run featured appearances by A-listers like Lady Gaga, Seth Rogen and Snoop Dogg as well as hometown heroes like Willie Nelson. Mayor Lee Leffingwell even declared March 19 Austin's official "Jimmy Kimmel Day."
Austin has been a hot spot for late night hosts in recent years. Shows including The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Late Night with Seth Meyers and Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live have taken up temporary residency in town.
ABC says it will release the full lineup and ticket information in the coming weeks.
